The National Gugak Center of Korea will debut in Hong Kong with the ‘Jongmyo Jeryeak, Ritual Music for Royal Ancestors’ during the Festive Korea. Originating from the Joseon Dynasty, this 500-year-old ritual, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, re-enacts ancestral rites with traditional attire, music and dance.
The Court Music Orchestra of 50 performers will showcase the ritual’s dance and music. Witness the solemnity and magnificence of this cultural marvel that offers a profound experience. Don’t miss this rare chance to delve into Korea’s rich heritage with the National Gugak Center of Korea.
